For peace do I pray
I notice beauty: am aware,
It's all around, it's everywhere.
My heart is weeping, pain is there.
I feel so much; I want to share.
Harsh is this world, no time to see,
Too busy possessing, denying the free.
Tears well up, salt bites into me,
Time stands still; glimpse eternity.
Father, Mother, I am child of your light,
Condensed from your essence aright.
Now I stand on this Earth in fear and delight,
To call in creation; create with insight.
The moments drift by, time can not stay,
Sun sets into dark, breaks dawn into day.
Truth measures this all, in the sacred way,
And I look for the peace, for peace do I pray.
