This hour long collection of iron made greetings cards was my first “own” production.

Filmed mostly with an overhead camcorder in mini DV format, it goes through the basic idea of making any type of greetings card, then explains numerous approaches and quick ideas for working yourself.

Anyone can use these ideas to achieve presentable and attractive abstract cards within minutes of starting the encaustic art process.

It takes just a few seconds to make the easiest abstracts and even complex ones on water colour paper don’t take long.

Making this video was a challenge and an enjoyable creative adventure, even when the technical end gets a bit out of hand!
